Assistant Accountant

Cobalt is currently working with a leading private investment office based in Boston. They offer investment management services to charitable endowments, foundations, pension funds, and family offices.

The business provides a long-term, multi-asset class, multi-manager investment approach. They invest across the broad asset class spectrum, including Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate, as well as more specialist opportunities.

This entry level accounting role is a great opportunity for a graduate who is looking to do their ACCA / CIMA qualifications. You will join their internal finance team and perform corporate accounting responsibilities for the global business.

Responsibilities include:

• Input of accounting data including journal entries, supplier and customer invoices

• Organisation and maintenance of accounting records

• Preparation of customer and group internal invoices

• Credit control and supplier reconciliations

• Assistance with regulatory returns

• Maintenance of the firm's employee expenses system including the processing of expenses

• Assisting with UK, FR, US, SG and HK Audits

• Bank reconciliations

• Other ad-hoc tasks

Requirements:

• Graduate with 2.1 or 1.1 in any core degree subject

• A desire to study for ACCA or CIMA qualifications

• Previous experience in a finance role or a year in industry is desirable but not essential

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A mature, professional, and responsible outlook

• Be a strong team player
