Management Accountant

We are partnering with a rapidly expanding property management firm seeking to hire a Management/Financial Accountant for their finance team. Backed by international investors, this firm has ambitious plans to expand their portfolio significantly.

This role is perfect for a Newly Qualified Accountant with experience in Real Estate who is eager to progress their career in one of the most promising sectors of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Management Accounts prepared by third parties

  • Consolidation of Management Accounts and monthly reports to the parent company

  • Coordination with the outsourced company to meet monthly reporting objectives, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, general ledger, management accounting packs, and cash flows

  • Oversight of key balance sheet reconciliations

  • Production of year-end statutory accounts, along with the Finance Manager, ensuring figures are accurate up to the trial balance stage, and preparing financial statements

  • Supervision of bank reconciliations performed by the outsourced provider

  • Understanding rent registers and rent reconciliations

  • Preparing and posting various month-end journals, such as deferred/accrued revenue, prepayments, and accruals

  • Overseeing payroll journal postings and reviews, including reconciliations

  • Preparing analyses for audit and tax purposes as needed

  • Supporting VAT and CIS return deadlines

  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and preparing depreciation journals

  • Preparing and forecasting cash flows

  • Setting up and preparing rent sweeps

  • Managing and reconciling intercompany accounts

  • Participating in system maintenance and process improvements

  • Engaging in FP&A work, including variance analysis

Key Skills:

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA Qualified Accountant

  • Relevant university degree

  • Hands-on experience with statutory accounting, preparation/ posting of month-end journals and reconciliations

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; SAGE 300 knowledge is an asset
