Property Fund Accountant

Cobalt are currently working with a specialist real estate, financial services company who are looking for a fund accountant.

This professional services firm acts as a business partner to some of the top names in real estate. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their business and take a proactive approach to delivering meaningful financial reports.

This role is ideal for someone studying ACA, ACCA or CIMA, who is looking to expand on their experience within real estate.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of consolidated management accounts including: Posting journals into the GL, calculating accruals, lease incentives and prepayments, posting managing agent statements, balance sheet reconciliations and detailed analysis of P&L.

• Preparation of quarterly and monthly VAT returns

• Preparation and submission of CIS returns

• Preparation of detailed ledger schedules and assisting with the provision of audit information

• Assisting with statutory accounts preparation

• Preparation of loan compliance calculations and certificates

• Assisting with ad hoc client requests

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, part qualified

• Property fund accounting experience

• Experience of VAT is essential, CIS is advantageous

• Knowledge of Sage, Yardi, Caseware and QuickBooks is advantageous
