Cobalt is working with a highly valued global real estate advisory firm. With a wide European presence, this firm is dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomes and client needs. They are presently in search of a proficient Senior Client Accountant to become part of their energetic team based in their Birmingham Office.

Duties:

  • Generate client accounting documentation such as statements, profit and loss reports, balance sheets, VAT and tax reports, charges to occupants and clients, reconciliations, rent deposits, and bank, cash, and service charge reconciliations.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, surveyors, and other relevant stakeholders regarding all aspects of accounting service provision. Support any junior members of the team with any other queries.

  • Maintain up-to-date financial records and management practices, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, managing inquiries, overseeing service charges, conducting reconciliations, and adhering to client-specific procedures and other financial duties.

  • Attend client meetings when necessary, identifying and action any client requirements, interpret needs, and provide appropriate responses

Person specification:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experienced in property management/accounting software like Tramps, Qube, Yardi, Horizon.

  • Experienced in leading accounting teams within property management or similar environments.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, assertive, and conscientious with a professional demeanor.

  • Highly focused, organised, and deadline-oriented, managing multiple projects effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to customer service.

  • Demonstrated people management, mentoring, and interpersonal abilities.
