Senior Block Manager

Salary: £37,000-£40,000

Location: Hertfordshire

Are you looking to take a step up in your block management career and assume more responsibility in your role?

I am working for a unique and successful managing agent based in Hertfordshire, who are looking for an experienced senior property manager with strong block management knowledge to help lead the department and provide guidance to junior team members, whilst managing their own portfolio.

This role comes with a competitive salary (based on experience), flexible working with 3 days from home, and a genuine long-term opportunity to progress your career with a reputable company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of ~20 sites with a management fee worth over £140,000

  • Oversee major works projects and manage the section 20 process

  • Maintenance of the buildings and communal areas

  • Liaising with contractors regarding general maintenance

  • Site visits to ensure good building condition

  • Managing onsite staff, including concierge, cleaners and maintenance

  • Maintaining health and safety regulations and legislation

  • Producing and managing service charge budgets across the portfolio

  • Chairing AGM's for your residents

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be incentivised for bringing new business to the company. Being able to build and maintain strong client relationships will be a key skill required, and will allow you to flourish in this position.

Key skills required:

  • Significant experience managing a portfolio

  • IRPM Qualification preferable

  • Strong customer service and attention to detail

  • Extensive knowledge of the section 20 process

  • Strong budgeting and financial management experience
