Are you a Senior/Associate Planner looking to join a growing team in Birmingham? If so, our client is an independent planning consultancy with a fantastic opportunity for you to join their hard-working team across two offices.
The consultancy works with established clients across the UK from their offices and the team in Birmingham handle a mixture of residential and commercial schemes across the region and beyond. Typically, the Senior Planner will have an integral role in these schemes engaging with clients that include house builders, major retail operators, developers, education providers and local authorities.
As a Senior/Associate Planner you will be tasked with managing projects that will vary in size and complexity, mentoring junior team members, progressing applications through the planning process and engaging with and managing client relationships. The consultancy has exciting growth plans and this opportunity is suited to someone capable of working independently as well as remotely with the wider team.
Ideally the Senior/Associate Planner will have demonstrable experience of handling projects and working within the private sector. Chartered RTPI membership is preferred as you will ideally take a key role in mentoring and supporting junior team members on the APC pathway as the team continues to grow. Sector experience can be varied, but residential experience will be extremely beneficial. Excellent communication skills are required due to the key role the Senior Planner will have on projects and, therefore, engaging with clients, Planning Officers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
