Our client is a fantastic leading managing agent based in Central London. They are looking to hire a service charge accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience to join their Finance department. You will be working closely with the finance manager to prepare service charge accounts across their residential portfolio.

The Role:

• Prepare income reports and all documentation for their external accountant

• Liaise with the external accountant for preparation of service charge accounts

• Responsible for year end service charge accounts within a given time frame

• Support the Property Manager with budget reviews

• Raise service charge demands and ad hoc recharges to tenants

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

• Carry out client reports and prepare bank reconciliations

• Assist with annual audits and collection of service charge arrears

• Set up new suppliers

Personal Skills:

• Previous experience working as a Service Charge Accountant

• Previous experience working with a property management system, ideally Yardi would be advantageous

• Adequate excel knowledge

• Have will have a confident character and come across approachable
