Commercial Valuer - Surveyor through to Associate

Cobalt are partnering with a leading property consultancy who are looking to grow their Valuation team, at various levels of seniority, from Surveyor through to Associate Director.

As part of an established valuation business, the main aim of these roles will be to process valuation instructions, taking an active role in the development of the valuation business regionally.

Responsibilities

• Undertake existing valuation mandates and start to build contacts to attract new business

• Seek to take instructions forward as the direct client contact

• Operate with a degree of flexibility and independence within the area, whilst also enjoying the support of your team

• Establish and nurture relationships with clients and other stakeholders in the market.

• Work on a mix of regular mandates as well as loan security and acquisition valuations

• Promote the service line to existing and prospective clients

• Develop a profile in the marketplace through building key client relationships, as well as a range of clients and personal contacts

• Prepare valuation reports, in various formats

Requirements

• Track record and knowledge of undertaking commercial property valuations and valuation appraisals

• Understanding of commercial property valuation, ideally for loan security and balance sheet purposes

• Commercially aware all-rounder with good business acumen and business generation skills

• Demonstrating a clear understanding of client requirements and awareness of market trends

• Ability to represent the brand in a friendly and professional manner

• Familiar with Argus valuation software

• Strong command of written English and ability to write valuation reports with a high degree of accuracy

• MRICS qualified, unless a Graduate
