Sustainability Manager - Environment
London
Cobalt is delighted to be partnering with a leading FTSE 100 Landlord who are responsible for some of the most exciting regeneration and refurbishment projects within the Real Estate space.
This role will play a key part within the sustainability team managing the company's environmental management system across its operational & construction activities, working with portfolio and site teams to deliver the businesses sustainability programme.
Core responsibilities:
You will be responsible for leading the company's environmental and energy management system
Develop sustainability action plan templates for each asset and work with site teams to ensure delivery
Identify and implement improvements on current environmental and energy related policies and procedures
Make sure that all environmental and energy auditing requirements are met
Provide advice on sustainability best practices to site teams and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders around the business including external service partners to ensure sustainability in all activities
Manage the re-accreditation process of ISO14001 AND 50001 certifications with external auditors
Work with multiple stakeholders to deliver other sustainability building certifications including BREEAM and WELL
Work with other members of the sustainability team to review and analysis environmental data (such as water energy and waste) to identify areas of focus for improvement
Personal Specification:
Knowledge of environmental and energy management systems and the requirements of IS0 14001 and 50001
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate complex and technical sustainability topics to non-sustainability stakeholders
Experience of working with environmental and energy management systems and the requirements of IS0 14001 and 50001
Experience managing environmental impacts across multisite portfolios within the property / real estate sector
Experience of building certification schemes such as BREEAM in use and WELL certification
Willingness to travel UK wide
