Accounts Payable Team Leader
West London , 12 month FTC
£35k - £40k per annum
Our leading landlord client is seeking for a experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader candidate to join their established team on a full time 12 month FTC. You will be working on a commercial portfolio that are office spaces and retail assests across the UK.
Duties:
Mentoring and supporting 4 AP employees. Establishing what training and development is needed across the team.
Handling the hard post of approved invoices on a daily and weekly bases on Qube
To perform general service charge accounting system housekeeping to maintain integrity of the accounting information.
Sending weekly outstanding PO approvals report to the wider business.
Processing 300 invoices on a weekly basis.
Resolving queries from suppliers and colleagues for assigned portion of the ledger.
Managing the AP mailbox and distributing across your team.
Reconciliation of supplier statements on a monthly basis.
Checking and approving of all supplier reconciliations for AP reports.
Ensuring all emails are resolved and dealt within a one week of receipt.
Assisting with the BACS and CHAPS payments.
Ensure procedures and processes are adhered too.
Assist the Head of Dept with running appropriate KPIs to monitor performance of the department including weekly stats.
Work with the Property Finance Managers on postings during month end reporting.
Proactively ensure that invoices are paid within 30 days in accordance with our Commitment to the Prompt Payment Code.
Assist with projects in improving the current processes and procedures within both the team and the department.
Various weekly/monthly reporting as requested by Head of Dept.
Person specification:
You must be self-disciplined and articulate when performing your desired duties.
Experienced in a similar AP function.
Strong Team Player.
Supportive and approachable.
Knowledge/experience of excel and word.
Great written and communication skills and a professional manner.
