We are excited to be working with a forward-thinking, thriving contractor on the search for their next Technical Manager. This is an opportunity to join a growing contractor with a projection of over £20M worth of upcoming works. You will be working with an established contractor, within their specialist Glazing division, working alongside industry leading contractors & developers based in the North West office.

About the role

You will be working closely with Design Managers, Designers, Production, Project Coordinators, Clients and Supply Chain Partners. In this role you will be responsible for:

• Looking for areas of opportunity for improving margin

• Investigating project overspends, identifying repeat wastage of components

• Taking accountability for supply chain selections and performance of individuals

• Technical assessments and costings are accurate and delivered in a timely manner

• Ensuring that designers are delivering drawings on time and within specifications

• Ensuring suitable and cost-effective solutions are consistent

• Leading the team on industry & legislative developments with regards to technical design, ensuring the company is not at risk

• Providing advice and training with the team on all technical aspects

About you

To successfully apply for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• An understanding of the industry, ideally within architectural glazing/ curtain walling.

• The ability to manage a team

• Ideally, you will be qualified up to degree level in a relevant field

• Design & Engineering construction knowledge

• A strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and Building Regulations

About the rewards

You will receive a base salary of c. £45K - £55K (DOE) + discretionary bonus scheme, pension, healthcare etc.
