We are proud to be partnered with an ambitious consultancy, based in Essex, with a pro-active focus on putting their people and client's needs side-by-side - in a successful attempt to disrupt the property and town planning market. Led by well-known market heads within their property division heads, they bring together an exceptional blend of talent with experience, and a client-led approach.

This opportunity has arisen due to a growing workload, and the consultancy also operates in other services including land and development agency, rural advisory and general practice. They are known for their commitment to high quality work and integrity, serving a wide range of clients, from major PLC developers to boutique firms, and covering various sectors, all across the Eastern region.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· For more senior candidates, leading on projects, assisting in delegating and starting to take on leadership role; for more junior candidates - assisting seniors on major projects and managing own caseload of smaller and medium-scale applications.

· Continuing to maintain relationships with clients in providing accurate advice and communicating effectively.

· Dealing with pre-apps and manage planning applications through the development process.

· Promoting sites through the Local Plan process.

· Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders and local regularly.

Ideally, you should possess:

· Between 18 months up to twelve years of experience in planning, preferably within consultancy, although local planning authority (LPA) experience will be considered.

· A strong skill set and expertise in development management and strategic planning.

· MRTPI or close to submitting.

· Excellent written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.

You will be joining a successful regional team with high ambitions, who want to take their next key hires on this journey with them.

Please apply here or give me (Kate) a call to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible - so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.

If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
