£29,000 - £35,000 + Bonus & Study Support

Cobalt is currently working with one of Europe's leading professional services firms to find a Trainee Fund Accountant.

This role would suit someone who would like to study ACCA and would like to develop their practical skills within a real estate investment environment. This is a client facing position and you will be working with Europe's top real estate investors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake bookkeeping services to a range of entities (companies, funds and trusts) up to TB Level including cash books, bank reconciliation and journal using a range of systems;

  • Proactively support the preparation of management reporting and maintenance of accounting files for one or more client entities;

  • Proactively support the preparation of financial statements for one or more client entities;

  • Complete payment processing duties in accordance with policy and strict deadlines;

  • Liaise professionally with clients (internal and external) and third parties (by email, telephone and face to face);

  • Complete ad hoc duties as required from time to time;

  • Assist with the investigation and delivery of responses to auditors and client queries in an accurate and expedient manner.

Requirements:

  • Strong academics, minimum B grade in GCSE Maths and English.

  • 1 degree or higher

  • Basic accounting experience is desirable

  • Willing to study a relevant professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent)

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
