Valuation Surveyor

Cobalt have been exclusively instructed by VAS Assurance to secure the appointment of an in-house Valuation Surveyor in their Wilmslow, Cheshire office (hybrid working included).

The business delivers a range of services to clients which include live and retrospective valuation auditing; valuation desktop reports; project monitoring audits and loan book monitoring.

This position would suit an experienced surveying professional operating in the residential and commercial sector, with the following qualifications, capabilities, and responsibilities:

  • Relevant Qualifications: A degree in Real Estate, Property Valuation, or a related field is preferred. Professional qualifications such as RICS or CAAV membership are highly desirable.

  • Valuation Expertise: Demonstrated experience in property valuation, ideally with a focus on residential and commercial properties. Proficiency in various valuation methodologies is essential.

  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local and national property markets, economic factors, and industry trends.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex data accurately.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with clients and colleagues.

  • Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with industry regulations, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using valuation software, databases, and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Client-Centric: A customer-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on data analysis.

  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
