Our client is a very highly regarded emerging markets focused infrastructure investment fund. Having been established for a number of years, the business has built a very strong investment team along with a multi-billion dollar portfolio of assets across power, energy and utilities.
As the fund continues to regularly invest, there is a need to hire a Vice President to play a key role in the origination and execution of investments in emerging markets. This is an outstanding opportunity for an emerging markets infrastructure specialist to join a highly active fund where you will build an impressive deal sheet.
The VP will;
Report directly to the Head of Infrastructure and play a key role originating and executing power, energy and utilities investments in the African region.
Regularly interact with developers, investment banks and industry professionals to generate investment opportunities.
Take full responsibility for the execution of investments including overseeing junior members of the team to conduct financial analysis and modelling.
Lead the full due diligence process including overseeing and coordinating third party advisors.
Oversee the preparation of Investment Committee presentations and memorandums.
Conduct portfolio analysis and provide recommendations to senior management.
Interested candidates must;
Be currently sitting at a Vice President or similar level within the Infrastructure Team of an investment bank, advisory firm or principal investment group.
Have an in-depth understanding of the emerging markets infrastructure space across power, energy and utilities.
Have proven deal experience having led the origination and execution of investments in the African region.
Hold a finance, business or related degree from a highly regarded university.
Possess an excellent skill set with the ability to build financial models from scratch, conduct due diligence and other functions.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
