We are working exclusively with a growing renewable energy private equity fund based out of the UAE to hire a senior investment professional. Established for a number of years with a proven track record, the group are currently raising a new fund and urgently require a renewable energy or energy transition focused bulge bracket banker or principal investment professional to play a key role originating and executing investments across Europe.
The new VP will;
Report directly to the Head of the Team and play a key role in the origination and execution of renewable energy and energy transition investments across Europe.
Regularly interact with bankers, principal and industry professional to generate investment opportunities.
Lead a small team to conduct financial analysis (including building models) and due diligence as well as overseeing & coordinating third party advisers.
Development and present investment opportunities to the Investment Committee.
Work closely with the senior management of portfolio companies to develop their operations and strategies to increase the value of the company and overall portfolio.
Conduct portfolio analysis and lead on the exit of investments.
Provide training to junior members of the team as and when needed.
Interested candidates must;
Be currently sitting in a VP or Director level within either a bulge bracket investment bank, private equity fund or corporate with proven European renewable energy and/or energy transaction deal experience.
Possess a very strong and all round technical skill set with the ability to build financial models from scratch and conduct due diligence.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
Hold a finance, business or related degree from a highly regarded university.
Be fluent in English and a second European language is advantageous.
Be highly motivated to join a growing private equity fund and to live in the UAE.
