In this role you will be working with the Head of Business Development in executing the strategy for new fund product launches and capital raising. You will be part of a business development team working across the Real Estate platform which will involve working closely with the research and the sustainability functions.
To support and work closely with the Head of Business Development to further increase the team's capacity to capitalise on new opportunities.
To work with the Head of Business Development on the production side of product launching. This includes building relationships and working closely with the firm's central marketing function.
Interface closely with distribution networks to identify relevant investor targets.
Be involved in the selection and management of placement agents.
Be involved in the selection of tax advisors and lawyers to orchestrate the creation of the appropriate investment vehicle.
Actively participate in road shows with placement agents to cultivate investor relations.
Working with the Head of Business Development to contribute to new product development initiatives and providing market intelligence to Executive Management.
Continuously evolve and update the database to track both existing and new investor relations and capital flows in the market.
Analyse potential ideas for deals with specific investor groups, using excel to model potential outputs.
Represent the firm in the marketplace at key industry forums and seminars with the purpose of increasing the firm's visibility with the target community.
Further build knowledge of property investment market so as to contribute strongly to the branding and positioning of the business within the market.
Working with the Head of Business Development to develop a strategy and lead relationships with investment consultants with a view to pitching and winning institutional property and asset management mandates.
Utilise existing market and investor contacts. Maximise opportunities to create and nurture new relationships and contacts within the market.
A strong business development instinct with the ability to build relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
Experience within and knowledge of the Real Estate/Property sector.
An intellectual capacity combined with excellent presentation and relationship-buildings skills. Able to present a technical product to senior level decision makers.
Strong management skills in order to be able to maximise the benefits of external consultants.
Strong networking skills in order to be able to leverage the strength of internal marketing and distribution teams.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and experience of using excel to model the output of potential ideas.
Ambitious and motivated by the prospect of joining a new business with exciting growth plans.
