Assistant Accountant

Cobalt are working with a boutique firm with a strong international client base, and we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with both sides of the ledger and keep our finance function running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Own the accounts process from start to finish, managing both purchase and sales ledgers.
• Use Xero daily to process invoices, reconcile accounts, and produce accurate financial reports.
• Liaise with French-speaking clients and suppliers, handling queries with professionalism and precision.
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and compliant.
• Collaborate closely with our small, friendly team to improve systems and processes.

What They're Looking For

• AAT qualified with solid all-round accounting skills.
• Bilingual - fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
• Proven experience managing both sides of the ledger.
• Proficient in Xero (bonus points if you've helped optimise it for a business).
• Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive - you enjoy taking ownership and seeing things through.
