An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Operations Manager to join the onsite management team of a prominent multi-tenanted commercial office building in East London.

The Role
As Assistant Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the property, with a particular focus on Health & Safety compliance, customer experience and stakeholder engagement.
This is a highly visible position. You will act as one of the key faces of the asset, developing strong relationships with occupiers, contractors, service partners and other stakeholders while ensuring the building continues to operate safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You will work closely with the wider property management and operational teams, providing hands-on support across building operations and helping create an environment in which occupiers receive an excellent level of service.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the day-to-day operational management of a large, multi-occupied commercial office building.
* Assist with the management and monitoring of Health & Safety and statutory compliance, ensuring relevant procedures, records and documentation are maintained to the required standard.
* Maintain a strong onsite presence and act as a key point of contact for occupiers and stakeholders.
* Build positive and professional relationships with tenants, understanding their requirements and ensuring operational issues are dealt with effectively.
* Support the delivery of a consistently high standard of customer experience across the property.
* Liaise with contractors and service partners, helping monitor performance and ensuring agreed service standards are maintained.
* Undertake regular building inspections, identifying operational, compliance and presentation issues and ensuring appropriate actions are followed through.
* Support risk assessments, permit-to-work processes, incident reporting and other building safety procedures.
* Assist with emergency procedures, building documentation and operational readiness.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams, occupiers, suppliers and other stakeholders to support the smooth running of the asset.
* Help identify opportunities to improve building operations and the overall occupier experience.
About You
We are looking for someone who combines strong operational awareness with excellent people skills.
You are likely to have experience within commercial property, facilities management, building management or a similar operational environment and will be comfortable working within a busy, multi-stakeholder property.
You should be:
* Customer-focused, approachable and professional
* Confident communicating with stakeholders at different levels
* Knowledgeable about Health & Safety and operational compliance
* Comfortable taking ownership and following issues through to resolution
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Proactive and comfortable maintaining a visible presence around the building
* Able to build effective relationships with occupiers, contractors and colleagues
* Keen to develop your career within commercial property and operations
Relevant Health & Safety qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous, although experience, attitude and the ability to engage effectively with people will be equally important.
