This role offers the opportunity to lead and influence high-profile residential and commercial projects, providing strategic planning advice and navigating complex planning processes from inception to delivery.

It has been involved in notable projects such as the development of over 100 new homes in Manchester, focusing on quality design and community integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage planning applications for residential and commercial developments, ensuring compliance with local planning policies and regulations.
  • Provide strategic planning advice to clients, guiding them through the planning process and identifying opportunities for development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and cost managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities to facilitate smooth planning processes and approvals.
  • Mentor and develop junior planning staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and building strong client relationships.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in a Planning related field.
  • A wealth of experience in town planning, with a focus on residential and commercial developments.
  • In-depth knowledge of planning legislation and policies in the UK.
  • Proven experience in managing complex planning applications and negotiations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
