About the Role

Are you a commercially minded and design-conscious Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career?

 

We're working with a well-established and respected planning consultancy based in the North West, now seeking an Associate Town Planner to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a hands-on role in meaningful, design-led projects and contribute directly to shaping the future of planning in the region.

You'll lead and support a variety of high-quality projects across the UK, including:

  • Residential and mixed-use developments (including apartments, townhouses, and supported living)
  • Community and institutional buildings
  • Environmentally sensitive and landscape-led schemes, including Green Belt and protected sites
  • Strategic planning advice, site promotion and feasibility work
  • Planning applications, appeals, and public consultations
  • Collaborative work with architects, developers, and local authorities

This consultancy is particularly known for its thoughtful, design-focused approach and commitment to delivering positive planning outcomes in complex settings.

About you:

  • MRTPI qualified with consultancy experience
  • Excellent understanding of the UK planning system and development process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence in leading projects and engaging with clients, consultants, and local authorities
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to contribute to a supportive, growing team
