About the Role
Cobalt are delighted to be partnering with an award-winning, family-owned partner and developer in the new build residential sector. They are seeking to appoint a Bid Writer or Senior Bid Writer who will support the regional teams as an integral member of the Proposals team, which operates within the Pre-Construction department.
This role is essential in managing and delivering high-quality bids across a varied portfolio of projects, including new builds, decarbonisation, retrofit, fire remediation and development.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with colleagues across the business, including regional teams, to gather technical, operational and commercial information for high-quality proposal submissions.
- Produce clear, concise and persuasive proposals that communicate operational, technical and commercial solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard response templates and content libraries to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Participate in bid reviews and refine content provided by subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, clarity and compliance.
- Create engaging presentation materials to support client interviews and tender presentations.
Requirements:
- Hold an APM Foundation qualification or relevant qualification
- Proven experience in bid writing in new build residential and construction sectors
- Knowledge of the construction industry, social and affordable housing market sector
- Attention to detail with exceptional written and verbal communication
- Proficient using Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign
- Adaptable, resilient and able to meet tight deadlines
