Rare Client-Side Opportunity | Privately Owned Property Investor & Developer

Are you a Building Surveyor looking to move client-side or join a business where you can genuinely influence a diverse property portfolio?

We're recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded, privately owned property investor and developer with an established portfolio of industrial, retail and office assets across the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced in-house Building Surveying team where you'll be involved in a broad range of professional and project work, giving you far greater variety than many traditional consultancy positions.

The Role

Working closely with the Director of Building Surveying, you'll take responsibility for a varied portfolio across Merseyside and the wider North West, supporting the business with both professional surveying duties and project delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building inspections and condition surveys
  • Dilapidations and schedules of condition
  • Contract administration
  • Planned maintenance and refurbishment projects
  • Office and industrial fit-out projects
  • Insurance valuations and reinstatement assessments
  • Preparing technical reports and specifications
  • Supporting Facilities Management teams across the portfolio
  • Managing contractors and ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard

The business carries out the majority of its surveying work in-house, giving you genuine ownership of projects from inception through to completion.

About You

We're keen to speak with Building Surveyors who have around 3-5 years' experience, although ambitious junior surveyors will also be considered.

You'll ideally have:

  • A Building Surveying qualification (Degree, HNC or HND)
  • Experience within Building Surveying or construction
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations and construction methods
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A full UK Driving Licence

MRICS status is welcomed but not essential, and genuine APC support is available for those working towards chartership.

What's on Offer?

  • £45,000-£50,000 salary
  • APC support
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Company pension
  • Death in Service (3x salary)
  • Sick pay scheme
  • Free parking
  • Long-term career development within a successful and growing property business

If you're looking to move into a varied client-side role where you'll gain exposure across an impressive commercial property portfolio and play a key role within a close-knit Building Surveying team, we'd love to hear from you.
