They are seeking a motivated Rating Surveyor to join their business rates team, providing specialist advice to major investor and occupier clients. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke rates appeal and mitigation advice to investor and occupier clients.
• Manage your own client base and caseload, taking on increasing responsibility as you progress.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Provide rating advice to developer and landlord clients across all stages of the development cycle.
• Assist with the preparation of Valuation Tribunal documentation and casework.
• Collaborate with colleagues across complementary service lines to maximise opportunities.

Key Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the UK property market and rating legislation.
• MRICS qualification with proven experience in providing rating advice and negotiating appeals.
• Skilled in surveying and inspection, with excellent attention to detail.
• Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle a varied caseload.
• Confident IT user; familiarity with rating software such as Riverlake and Analyse is advantageous.
