Ceiling Surveyor

We are looking for experienced Ceiling Surveyors / Ceiling Fixers to carry out ceiling surveys across a number of Tesco retail stores between Nottingham and London.

This is a hands-on surveying role. You will be required to open suspended ceilings, inspect the area above the ceiling grid and record your findings using the Tesco survey app.

All works will be carried out on night shifts, Sunday to Thursday, while stores are closed.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and removing suspended ceiling tiles to gain access above the ceiling grid.
• Inspecting the ceiling void and existing ceiling installation.
• Inspecting suspended and fire-rated ceiling systems and tiles.
• Checking the condition of the ceiling grid, tiles and associated components.
• Identifying and recording any defects, damage or areas requiring further attention.
• Taking measurements and photographs where required.
• Completing all required survey questions accurately within the Tesco app.
• Using an iPad to complete and submit surveys while on site.
• Using access equipment, including scissor lifts, where required.
• Replacing ceiling tiles correctly following inspection and leaving the area safe and secure.
• Following all site health & safety requirements and working safely at height.
• Travelling between allocated Tesco stores across the Nottingham-to-London area.

Essential Requirements

You must have:

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Interior Systems
• Valid IPAF
• Good practical experience with suspended ceiling systems.
• Experience working with fire-rated ceiling tiles/systems.
• Confidence opening ceilings and inspecting above the grid.
• Ability to work safely at height.
• Your own iPad suitable for completing surveys using the Tesco app.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to accurately complete digital survey questions.
• Ability to work independently and follow survey instructions.
• Availability for night work, Sunday to Thursday.
• Ability to travel between sites from Nottingham to London.

Experience using a scissor lift is highly desirable, and surveyors should be comfortable using powered access equipment where required.
