About the Role

Client Accountant (Service Charge) | Real Estate | Manchester (Hybrid) | Up to £40,000

Are you an experienced property finance professional with a solid background in service charge accounting? We're working with a reputable real estate and property management firm in Manchester, seeking a Client Accountant to manage a commercial and/or residential portfolio across service charge, reporting, and client liaison.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team in a varied, fast-paced role with great long-term prospects and hybrid flexibility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and reconcile service charge accounts for a portfolio of properties

  • Manage client reporting, including income/expenditure, arrears, and variance commentary

  • Liaise with property managers and surveyors to ensure budgets are accurate and compliant

  • Raise and process service charge demands and tenant recharges

  • Ensure compliance with RICS guidelines and industry standards

  • Assist with year-end packs, external audits, and client queries


About You:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a service charge / client accountant role

  • Strong knowledge of commercial or residential service charge practices

  • Confident with accounting systems - experience with QUBE, TRAMPS, MRI, or Yardi is desirable

  • Able to work independently and manage a portfolio with minimal supervision

  • Excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
