Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their commercial team, working remotely and covering Birmingham with occasional travel further afield. The role offers a diverse workload and is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in a flexible, friendly, and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of commercial building surveys across various property sectors.
- Prepare and deliver detailed, technically robust reports including:
- Dilapidations
- Schedules of Condition
- Acquisition Surveys
- Technical Due Diligence
- Planned Preventative Maintenance Reports
- Administer contracts and advise clients on building repairs and refurbishments.
- Provide clear, concise, and justified conclusions and recommendations.
- Work independently and collaboratively with the wider team including structural engineers, residential surveyors, and general practice colleagues.
- Engage with clients through professional communication, reporting, and advice.
- Maintain high professional and regulatory standards in accordance with RICS/CIOB guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
- AssocRICS / MRICS / MCIOB Building Surveyor
- Experience in a broad range of commercial surveying disciplines
- Confident in preparing detailed, client-focused survey reports
- Dilapidation experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Based in the West Midlands
- UK driving licence
