About the role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead all commercial aspects of a major infrastructure scheme in the Birmingham area. This is a senior position with responsibility for a contract turning over in excess of £10m per annum. You will ensure robust financial management, risk control, and delivery of long-term value.
The role requires travel in excess of 5,000 miles per year and comes with either a company car or a car allowance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead project start-up and set commercial strategies
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Manage and develop supply chain partners, driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, and learning
- Prepare valuations, submit invoices, and secure payments
- Develop strategies for concluding client negotiations
- Identify, manage, and eliminate unnecessary costs
- Monitor and report on resource utilisation
- Produce accurate CVR reports and forecasts
- Identify early project risks and implement mitigation plans
- Oversee project close-out to contractual and commercial targets
