About the Role

Development Manager | Client-Side | London West End

Cobalt is proud to be working exclusively with LGL, a highly regarded property developer specialising in the Living sector and focused on repositioning underutilised urban land and buildings. LGL is an ambitious, fast-growing business aiming to become one of the UK's leading Living sector developers over the next five years.

The Role
Reporting directly into the C-suite, you will take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility and planning through to on-site delivery and handover. The ideal candidate will be proactive, ambitious, and comfortable operating at pace. LGL's commitment to high standards is matched by a culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and enjoyment of the work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and programme targets.
  • Driving efficiencies across the development process and solving challenges creatively.
  • Coordinating teams of consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Supporting the acquisitions team during site appraisals and technical due diligence.
  • Reporting to internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engaging with the wider industry and identifying tools, technologies, or processes to improve how projects are delivered.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A degree or technical qualification in construction, property development, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • A proven track record in full project delivery, ideally in a client-side or developer role.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying risks early and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders and present to senior decision-makers and investors.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a structured, process-led approach.
  • Comfortable working with data, automating workflows, and experimenting with AI and other tools.

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking development business at a formative stage. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping high-profile projects and have the chance to grow alongside an inspiring and entrepreneurial leadership team.
