About the Role

Cobalt are partnering with a leading UK-based managing agent who are seeking an experienced and strategic Facilities Management Lead to take full accountability for the leadership and performance of our FM team.

Joining a well-established (and growing) team, this role requires a seasoned professional with a proven ability to align facilities strategy with business objectives, ensure operational excellence, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Define and drive the FM strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals. Lead KPI reporting, performance monitoring, and quarterly business reviews with Directors and Head of Department.
  • Oversight and total facilities management of a portfolio of mixed-use properties
  • Oversee preventive/reactive maintenance, supplier management, contract negotiations, and service provider performance. Manage onboarding of new assets, crisis response, business continuity, and adoption of smart building technologies.
  • Take the lead on procurement and tendering processes.
  • Ensure all properties meet legal and regulatory standards, with robust monitoring and reporting. Drive improvements in compliance ratings and workplace safety.
  • Lead, coach, and develop internal and external teams. Establish clear KPIs, provide one-to-one support, and foster innovation and accountability.
