Fit-Out Site Manager

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fit-Out Site Manager to oversee a internal warehouse fit-out project in Exeter. The project includes full internal works such as changing rooms, toilets, reception areas, and associated finishes, managing all trades on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations for a full internal fit-out project
• Oversee and coordinate 15-20 operatives on site
• Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
• Maintain regular, proactive communication on site progress
• Review and interpret drawings, ensuring works align with design specifications
• Liaise with architects, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
• Take a hands-on approach to site management (not desk-based)
• Report into the project lead and provide regular updates
• Maintain shared documentation and basic reporting via email and Word

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on fit-out projects (ideally similar scope)
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Reliable and able to work autonomously on a remote project
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and site-focused approach

Certifications

• SMSTS (essential)
• CSCS Card (essential)
• First Aid (essential)
• Banksman qualification (desirable, not essential)
