About the Role

Head of Block Management

Cobalt is working with a growing residential property company to help appoint a Head of Block Management. This is a fantastic opportunity transition into into a leadership role with real influence over how the block management service is shaped, delivered, and grown.

The Role

As the Head of Block Management, you will lead and support a team of property professionals, ensuring the delivery of efficient, compliant and responsive leasehold block management services.

  • Directly liaising with key clients
  • Working closely with other department heads to contribute to the smooth running of the business
  • Helping to oversee a team of PMs, SPMs, and other junior staff members
  • Conducting 1 to 1s
  • Monitor the team's success through weekly meetings and KPI management
  • Consulting on core/high-value major works projects
  • Liaising with Health & Safety team regarding new BSA legislation

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Working knowledge of leasehold block management and associated legislation.
  • AIRPM qualification or higher
  • Significant team management experience
  • Notable experience managing a large leasehold portfolio
  • Strong customer service and attention to detail
  • Ability to nurture more junior members of staff
  • Extensive knowledge of the section 20 process and dealing with major works projects
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety relevant to the residential industry
  • Strong budgeting and financial management experience
