Head of Business Rates

An established and well-regarded UK property consultancy is looking to appoint a Business Rates specialist to lead and grow this service line within the business.

This is a standalone role, offering a rare opportunity for an individual to take full ownership of an existing workload while also shaping and developing the offering longer term. The platform is there from day one, with active instructions to pick up, but the business is looking for someone with the drive and commercial mindset to grow the service and win new work.

The role would suit an experienced surveyor operating at Associate through to Partner level, who is confident delivering high-quality rating advice and is motivated by the opportunity to build something within a supportive, established consultancy environment.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Managing and delivering a range of Business Rates instructions
• Acting as a trusted advisor to clients across the commercial property sector
• Developing new business and expanding the client base
• Working closely with other service lines to identify cross-selling opportunities
• Shaping the future direction of the rating function within the firm
