About the Role
The Opportunity
Cobalt is working with a housing developer operating across the North West of England who are looking to appoint a bright, enthusiastic Graduate. Working closely with the Land Director, you will support the delivery of affordable housing schemes from early-stage land appraisal through to contract and delivery.
This is a highly varied, hands-on role, offering exceptional exposure to all aspects of residential development. It would suit someone curious, commercially minded and genuinely interested in how development works in practice.
A property or land-related degree is not required. What matters most is attitude, intellect, and a desire to learn.
The Role
Working directly with and supported by the Land Director, the Graduate will assist across a wide range of development and land activities, including:
- Assisting with the identification and appraisal of potential development opportunities
- Carrying out market research and basic feasibility studies
- Maintaining land and opportunity trackers
- Gaining exposure to contracts, legal agreements and development structures
- Preparing reports and briefing notes
- Learning how affordable housing schemes are structured, funded and delivered
This role would suit someone who is:
- Bright, motivated and enthusiastic
- Curious about property, development and the built environment
- Comfortable asking questions and keen to learn by doing
- Commercially aware, with good attention to detail
- Confident communicating with a range of stakeholders
- Organised and able to juggle varied tasks
Degree discipline is open (property-related degrees welcome but not essential). You will need to be an excellent communicator both written and verbal.
