About the Role

(Hybrid - 3 days in office per week)

Cobalt are partnering with a leading European real estate company that has become a major player in the logistics and commercial property sector.

They're now seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Assistant to join their UK in-house legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, including Asset Managers, Company Directors, and external legal counsel, while being part of a growing and supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Legal Assistant, you'll be responsible for the administration and coordination of legal documentation related to the leasing of a diverse commercial property portfolio. This includes drafting, reviewing, and managing key property documents and supporting the team in ensuring smooth and compliant operations.

You'll join a close-knit legal team that collaborates with departments across the business, offering both autonomy and the chance to learn from experienced professionals in the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate a variety of property-related legal documents (such as leases, licences, and surrender documents) using standard templates.

  • Manage the execution of legal documents through electronic signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign).

  • Maintain accurate lease data and key dates in internal systems (e.g., Yardi Voyager).

  • Prepare completion summaries and liaise with asset management teams to ensure records are kept up to date.

  • Work collaboratively with other legal and operations professionals across multiple locations.

  • Provide administrative and legal support to ensure the smooth operation of leasing and property management processes.

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine interest in property law and the commercial real estate industry.

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, ideally within commercial property.

  • Experience drafting legal documentation is advantageous (training available for the right candidate).

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Confident using technology; experience with Yardi Voyager, Salesforce or DocuSign is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • A proactive, self-starting attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Why Join

This company offers an exciting and fast-paced environment where growth and development are encouraged. You'll have access to structured learning and development opportunities and the chance to work in a modern, tech-enabled workplace that embraces flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration.
