About the Role

Cobalt is currently working with a leading developer in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation sector

Managing the maintenance of a vibrant student accommodation building, the Maintenance Operative will enjoy the responsibility of ensuring the living quarters are maintained to the highest standard.

An internal promotion within the company has presented this outstanding opportunity for a skilled Maintenance person to join a reputable and well-renowned property management group.

Key responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring planned, preventative, and proactive maintenance work is carried out

  • Liaise with on-site contractors to ensure work is done to the appropriate standard

  • Provide support with onboarding of new staff members and offer guidance where possible

  • Contribute to the delivery of KPI's in line with the property and business

  • Conduct regular building checks to identify any potential health & safety risks

  • Carry out planned inspections of site areas while recording information in a timely manner

Candidates for this role would ideally be from a trade background (electrical, carpentry, plumbing) within a customer-facing environment such as hospitality or the residential sectors previously.
