About the Role
Night Concierge - Elephant & Castle
Cobalt is working with a well-managed residential development in Elephant & Castle to recruit a Night Concierge. This is a key position within the building, offering responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to deliver a high standard of resident service.
This Night Concierge role operates on a 6:30pm-6:30am shift pattern, suited to someone comfortable working independently and managing the building during quieter hours.

The role/responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors during night hours.
* Monitor access to the building, ensuring a secure and controlled environment at all times.
* Carry out regular patrols across the building and grounds.
* Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents appropriately.
* Identify and report safeguarding concerns, ensuring residents are protected from harm.
* Conduct health and safety checks and record findings in line with procedures.
* Respond to emergencies, including coordinating with emergency services where required.
* Complete handovers, reports and duty logs to maintain clear communication.
* Log maintenance issues and escalate where necessary.
* Work closely with the wider team to ensure continuity of service across shifts.
The skills needed/requirements
* Working knowledge of residential developments, ideally within BTR environments.
* Ability to remain calm and make decisions in a night-time setting.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A professional and approachable manner when dealing with residents.
* Good understanding of health and safety within a residential building.
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
* IT literacy, including use of basic systems and reporting tools.
* SIA licence desirable, but not essential.
* A reliable and consistent approach to shift work.
