As a Principal to Associate Planner, you'll work independently across a wide range of planning projects, delivering insightful, tailored advice and building lasting client relationships. You'll also play a key part in driving new business, positioning yourself as a trusted expert in the field.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver expert planning advice across a range of development types
  • Manage end-to-end planning applications, appeals, and site promotions
  • Represent clients at committees, hearings, and public inquiries
  • Oversee project teams and coordinate input from specialist consultants
  • Lead client communications and maintain strong long-term relationships
  • Contribute to business development-winning new work for yourself and others
  • Support internal initiatives and mentor junior team members

 

Your Expertise

  • Chartered Member of the RTPI.
  • Extensive, diverse planning experience (private sector background essential).
  • Deep understanding of planning policy and development processes.
  • Skilled in preparing and managing all forms of planning applications, appeals, and policy representations.
  • Strong project leadership and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and self-motivation.
