About the Role

Project Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ealing, London (Hybrid)

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000

 

Cobalt Recruitment has partnered with a great client who is looking to hire an ambitious, all-rounded Quantity Surveyor. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic and growing construction business, offering full exposure across all aspects of the company.

 

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you'll play a pivotal role supporting the business in:

  • Main Contractor Projects - Oversee refurbishment works and general construction projects.
  • Specialist Subcontracting - Focus on drylining and painting/decorating packages.
  • Cost Management - Drive initial estimates, tendering, cost tracking, variations, and final accounts.

You'll be a hands-on team member, expected to manage costs, liaise with subcontractors and clients, and deliver projects from inception to completion.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven track record in subcontractor and main contractor QS roles. Drylining expertise is desirable.
  • Qualifications: Formal training in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • On-Site Experience: Practical, hands-on experience on live construction sites.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of general construction processes and technical requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Attitude: Proactive, adaptable, and willing to roll up your sleeves .
