Project Quantity Surveyor

Cobalt is partnering with a leading international hospitality and retail brand who is seeking a Construction Cost Manager to oversee capital expenditure across new build and refurbishment projects.

The organisation

This business operates a growing portfolio of high-profile hospitality and retail spaces across Europe, with a strong pipeline of fit-out and refurbishment projects. They offer a collaborative environment with exposure to senior stakeholders and international project delivery.

The role

You will take ownership of cost management across multiple projects, acting as the commercial lead from feasibility through to completion.

• Manage project feasibility, budgets, and cost planning from initial concept to approval.
• Produce and review CapEx estimates across fit-out and refurbishment schemes.
• Lead procurement processes including tendering, negotiation, and contractor selection.
• Monitor financial performance, manage variations, and ensure cost control throughout delivery.
• Drive value engineering initiatives to optimise project spend.
• Develop benchmarking data and improve cost management processes across the portfolio.

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in construction cost management within fit-out projects.
• Exposure to hospitality or retail environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing CapEx budgets.
• Working knowledge of procurement, contract management, and cost reporting.
• Ability to engage with internal stakeholders and external delivery partners.
• Experience working across multiple projects or locations is beneficial.
