About the Role
Cobalt is working with a leading contractor on a major project in North London to recruit a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative commercial and construction team on a high-profile scheme.

The Role / Responsibilities
Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Managing QS, your role will include:
- Supporting the development and implementation of commercial strategy.
- Preparing and managing subcontractor packages from tender to final account.
- Keeping accurate site records, measurements, and control documents.
- Contributing to CVRs, forecasting, valuations, and financial reporting.
- Preparing and agreeing variations with robust supporting documentation.
- Liaising with the site team to commercially influence project decisions.
- Managing junior members of the team and reviewing their outputs.
Skills Needed / Requirements
- Working knowledge of JCT contracts.
- Experience in preparing tenders, valuations, and managing subcontractors.
- Confident in drafting reports and commercial correspondence.
- Familiarity with CVR processes and cost forecasting.
- Educated to degree level and ideally working towards chartership.
- Awareness of contractual risk, insurance, and warranty processes.
