About the Role

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Originator with a clear specialisation in either development finance or bridging finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating new lending opportunities, managing relationships with UK-based developers and intermediaries, and structuring tailored finance solutions for complex transactions.

You will join a high-performing, collaborative team and play a key role in driving the fund's growth in the UK mid-market lending space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and structure real estate debt transactions in the UK, focused exclusively on either development finance or bridging finance.
  • Build and manage a network of relationships with developers, property companies, brokers, and advisers across the UK.
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of transactions, including term sheet negotiation, credit analysis, and coordination of due diligence and closing.
  • Prepare and present detailed investment papers to the investment committee, articulating the transaction rationale, risks, and mitigants.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to help shape origination strategy and ensure the fund remains competitive.

Candidate Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in UK real estate finance, with a proven track record in either development finance or bridging finance.
  • Strong network of contacts across the UK mid-market - particularly developers, brokers, and intermediaries.
  • Deep understanding of the risks and structuring nuances relevant to your area of focus.
  • Demonstrable ability to originate, negotiate, and close transactions with minimal oversight.
  • Commercially astute with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with UK planning, legal, and regulatory frameworks related to real estate lending.
