Senior Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Site-based (Aldershot)

Hours: Flexible, project-dependent

The Opportunity

I'm working with a leading Tier 1 Contractor who are looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their growing in-house M&E business unit.

This team delivers some of the UK's most high-profile and complex projects across custodial, commercial, health, science, defence, and aviation sectors. With a turnover of £80-100m, their pipeline includes projects valued up to £250m, many of which are with Government departments.

The Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for electrical engineering services on major projects, ensuring delivery against specifications, programmes, and cost targets. You'll lead delegated works packages, overseeing design, installation, and commissioning, while driving technical excellence and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical works from design through to installation and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and UK legislation.
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and client representatives.
• Manage risk, change control, budgets, and reporting.
• Provide leadership to junior engineers and project team members.
• Champion health, safety, and quality assurance throughout delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Strong technical background in electrical engineering and project delivery.
• Relevant accredited qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
• CSCS and SMSTS accreditation (minimum).
• Previous experience working on complex construction projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
