Senior Consultant, Residential Development & Town Planning

About the Role

My client is an employee-focussed Planning Consultancy in Newcastle. This town planning consultancy is busy, established and in a growth phase.

Due to an increased pipeline in work, they are seeking someone to join, who is looking to be a major part of the team, and have a part in mentoring junior members of staff, as well as getting stuck in to their fantastic array of exciting projects.

You will be involved in (among other responsibilities):

  • Leading projects and managing development management processes
  • Continuing to maintain relationships with clients in providing accurate advice and communicating effectively
  • Dealing with pre-apps and manage planning applications through the development process
  • Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders and local regularly
  • Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations and similar events in representation of both the Company and clients through the planning process
  • Starting to find and develop new business for the company

 

You will ideally:

  • Have at planning experience either in an LPA, consultancy or client-side.
  • Strong development management skillset and expertise.
  • Be working towards RTPI or be MRTPI already.
  • Be a strong communicator with excellent written work.
  • Understand the UK planning system
