About the Role

Senior Project Manager - Hospitality - Central London

We are partnering with a privately-owned property developer and investor with an outstanding track record of delivering high-quality hospitality assets across the UK. With an integrated development model spanning acquisition, planning, delivery, operations and asset management, the business continues to invest in an impressive pipeline of hotel refurbishment and conversion projects.

As part of this growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven background delivering hotel refurbishment and conversion schemes. This is a business-critical appointment, requiring someone who understands the complexities of working within operational hospitality environments, balancing guest experience with programme, cost and quality.

Applicants must have demonstrable hotel project delivery experience.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, consultants and contractors, you will lead projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring schemes are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of hotel refurbishment and conversion projects from feasibility through to handover.
  • Managing project programmes, budgets and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Overseeing works within live, operational hotel environments while minimising disruption to guests and operations.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and ensuring designs are practical, compliant and operationally effective.
  • Managing procurement strategies, contractor appointments and building contracts.
  • Reviewing contractor valuations, variations and final accounts while controlling commercial risk.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for operators, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, building regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Providing regular project updates and reporting to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Have extensive experience delivering hotel refurbishment and conversion projects - this is essential.
  • Have a strong understanding of working within live hospitality environments and the operational constraints they present.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of construction contracts, project controls and commercial management.
  • Be confident leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Hold a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional membership such as MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB would be advantageous.
  • Possess excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Please apply here or contact Adaora to discuss this opportunity. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible - so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.
