About the Role
Cobalt is partnering with a respected housebuilder to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage full commercial delivery across multiple residential schemes. This role offers ownership of budgets, procurement and commercial reporting from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will take responsibility for managing project costs, tendering, subcontractor negotiations and monthly valuations. Key duties include:
- Preparing project and regional budgets and monitoring throughout.
- Producing tender packages, analysing returns and recommending preferred suppliers.
- Negotiating orders and managing variations.
- Managing interim valuations, bank valuations and cost-to-value reconciliations.
- Monitoring materials on site and ensuring invoice accuracy.
- Preparing sales extras and incentive pricing.
- Overseeing junior surveyors where required.
- Supporting land appraisals and cost-to-complete exercises.
Skills & Experience Needed
- Strong working knowledge of residential housebuilding.
- Solid commercial and construction understanding.
- Confident communicator with effective negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Competent IT user; COINS experience is advantageous.
