I'm working with a well-established independent planning consultancy with an outstanding reputation across the South West. They're looking to appoint a Senior Planner through to Associate to join their growing team and take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects spanning residential, commercial, mixed-use, renewable energy, heritage and rural development.
This is a role where you'll have real autonomy, build long-term client relationships, mentor junior planners and help shape the future direction of the business-all within a collaborative, supportive environment where your ideas are genuinely valued.
What you'll be doing
- Leading planning projects from appraisal through to determination and appeal.
- Providing strategic planning advice to a wide range of private and public sector clients.
- Managing client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser.
- Supporting business development and helping grow an already successful consultancy.
- Working alongside an experienced, collaborative team on a diverse range of developments across the South West.
About you
- MRTPI qualified.
- Experience within planning consultancy or a similar private sector environment.
- Confident managing projects and building strong client relationships.
- Commercially minded with excellent communication skills.
- Ambitious, proactive and looking for genuine career progression.

Relocating? They are also happy to consider planners looking to relocate to Devon or Cornwall during late 2026 or 2027, with the flexibility to work remotely or from another office until the move.
