About the Role

Here at Cobalt, we are partnering with a highly regarded independent development consultancy with a long-standing reputation across regeneration, development advisory and strategic real estate consultancy. Known for their commercially minded approach, collaborative culture and strong public/private sector relationships, they advise on some of the UK's most complex and high-profile regeneration and development projects.

Due to continued growth within their London team, they are seeking to appoint a Senior to Principal level Development Consultant to play a key role in delivering major advisory and regeneration instructions.

This is an opportunity to join a specialist consultancy environment where individuals are given genuine responsibility, direct client exposure and the chance to work across a broad mix of development, viability and regeneration projects from an early stage.

The role will involve advising on large-scale regeneration and development schemes, undertaking development appraisals and financial modelling, providing strategic development consultancy advice and supporting public and private sector clients through complex development challenges.

The business operates with a highly collaborative, non-corporate culture and has built an impressive reputation within regeneration, housing and development consultancy over a number of years. Their London office continues to gain traction across a growing pipeline of instructions, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a broader, more commercially exposed position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on complex regeneration and development projects across London and the wider South East
  • Undertaking development appraisals, financial modelling and viability assessments
  • Supporting on regeneration strategies, development frameworks and delivery advice
  • Working closely with public sector bodies, developers, housing providers and wider stakeholder groups
  • Preparing reports, presentations and strategic advisory documentation for clients
  • Supporting on disposals, acquisitions and development consultancy instructions
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to business development activity
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members where appropriate

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified Surveyor
  • Experience within development consultancy, regeneration or development surveying
  • Strong understanding of the UK development and housing market
  • Experience undertaking development appraisals and viability work
  • Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially minded with a genuine interest in regeneration and development
  • Ambitious, collaborative and motivated to progress within a growing consultancy environment
  • Experience using Argus Developer would be advantageous

Please apply here or contact me (Adaora) directly for a confidential discussion. My client is looking to identify the right individual as soon as possible, so if the role sounds of interest, I would encourage you to get in touch.

I am also working on a number of other development and regeneration opportunities which may be relevant.

If you do not hear back within one week, please assume your application has unfortunately been unsuccessful on this occasion. However, I will retain your details for consideration against future opportunities.
