Service Charge Accountant 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage service charge accounts for a portfolio of properties
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of year-end service charge reconciliations
Liaise with tenants, landlords, and clients regarding service charge queries
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation
Support audits and provide necessary documentation
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes for service charge budgets
Work closely with the property management teams to ensure accurate cost allocations
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications

Key Requirements:

Previous experience in service charge accounting, ideally within property management
Strong understanding of service charge legislation and accounting practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Qube, etc.) and Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage a portfolio of properties efficiently
Professional, positive attitude with a client-focused approach
