About the Role
Cobalt is proud to be working with a leading property brand in their search for a Technical Services Manager to oversee a prestigious commercial asset in the heart of London. Spanning over 600,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office space and complemented by high-quality retail, this landmark building requires a proven professional to deliver exceptional technical and engineering standards.
The Role
As Technical Services Manager, you will take ownership of all M&E and technical operations across the building. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance, driving energy efficiency, and overseeing both planned and reactive maintenance. Working closely with service partners and internal stakeholders, you will ensure the asset remains best-in-class within the London market.
Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing all M&E operations across the asset, including both office and retail elements.

Managing service partners to ensure a culture of excellence, safety, and compliance.

Driving sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency throughout the building.

Leading on CAPEX and lifecycle projects, ensuring delivery on time and to budget.

Maintaining strong tenant relationships, acting as a technical point of contact for occupiers.

Working closely with the wider on-site team to ensure seamless building operations.
The Person

A strong background in M&E, ideally holding relevant technical qualifications (e.g. HVAP, HND/HNC, or equivalent).

Demonstrable experience managing technical services within a high-profile, large-scale commercial building or portfolio.

Excellent knowledge of compliance, health & safety, and statutory requirements.

Proven ability to manage contractors and oversee high-value projects.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
